It was born from a human observation.

Watching brilliant accountants spend their evenings sorting receipts, chasing invoices and justifying entries — instead of advising their clients.

We didn’t want one more robot. We wanted to give them a colleague: someone who prepares the work with an auditor’s rigour and always leaves the decision to a human.

Knows your chart of accounts — Cortex works with each client’s own chart of accounts: entries are posted to their accounts, following their habits.

With an auditor’s rigour

Reliable — Every amount is recalculated and every VAT rate checked. The same documents always produce the same entries.

Traceable — Every entry points back to its source document, split and renamed. No link is missing between the document and the journal.

Auditable — Duplicates and inconsistencies are flagged before posting, and every decision remains available with its justification.
