Cortex and Bexio: two roles — especially since Fiduza
Bexio is a management and bookkeeping suite. Cortex is upstream: an organised file, visible controls, human validation, export to the software you already use — Crésus, WinBiz, Abacus or another. Since June 2026 Bexio offers Fiduza, AI inside its own stack. The roles overlap on reading documents. They are not the same.
Historical complementarity
Bexio invoices, manages, and can keep the books inside Bexio. Cortex does not. Cortex structures the unsorted batch, proposes checked entries, isolates mandates, and exports. No native Bexio export is promised here: if Bexio is already your entire books, the question is not “which file Cortex generates”, it is “do you need an upstream layer outside Bexio”.
What changed in June 2026: Fiduza exists
In its June 2026 update (Bexio page consulted on 13 August 2026), Bexio presents Fiduza: AI that splits PDFs, extracts invoices and statements, applies booking rules and reconciles. That is a fact of existence in the Bexio stack — not a Cortex test, not a ranking.
Bexio uses automation language there, including an “error-free” formulation on that page. We do not measure that claim. We do not repeat it as ours.
When to stay in Bexio
If the books already live in Bexio, the team invoices and books there, and Fiduza covers the document need inside that stack, staying in Bexio can be enough. Cortex then does not need to “win”. Forcing a second tool is not complementarity.
When Cortex remains relevant
You keep books in Crésus, WinBiz, Abacus, Banana, or several of these at once. You need a visible blocking review, mandate isolation, a file export — not a second ERP. The bottleneck is upstream clutter, not the management suite.
What we do not compare
No accuracy against Fiduza. No time saved. No market share. No score. Honest criteria are: where the journal lives, who validates, how many software products must stay master, and whether you accept review.

Are you better than Fiduza?
We do not measure that. Fiduza has existed in Bexio since June 2026. Cortex is not in the same cell if your books are not Bexio.
When is Bexio enough?
When books, invoicing and the document need already live in Bexio. Fiduza can then stay inside that stack.
Do you export natively to Bexio?
That is not promised here. Cortex exports to the formats listed on the integrations page, after validation.
